Our Story

This rum is dedicated to the people in the jungle, of skill, passion, mystery, and isolation; on the frontier, in the wilderness, thriving.

Campesino Rum exists to change everything you’ve ever thought about rum. Our inspiration is drawn from our experience living in the jungle with two Campesino brothers. They put skill, passion, and total concentration in everything they did, with glowing yet humble pride.

After living the Campesino lifestyle, we wanted to create a rum that poured the spirit of the jungle right into the bottle. That is why we chose to produce a straight rum without adding natural or artificial flavors, sugar, or any other elements that take away from the way rum is supposed to be: unadulterated.

We believe those who drink Campesino want to get more out of life. They are people like us: travelers, seekers, explorers, adventurers; those who can see beyond borders, walls, and the fine print to see what is truly there. Take a sip, follow the journey, enjoy the ride.

Profile:

Aged XIV is a proprietary blend of rum made up of 80% 8-year-old rum from Barbados and the Dominican Republic, and 20% 6-year-old rum from Panama. These rums are left to age in ex-bourbon barrels at their origin of distillation until the point of full maturity before they are carefully blended together to create the perfect flavor.

Tasting Notes:

Deep and rich, with a natural sweetness and notes of vanilla, oak, honey, caramel, and brown sugar.

Profile:

Silver X is a proprietary blend of rum from Nicaragua and Trinidad and Tobago which is aged at a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years. Each rum is aged in ex-bourbon casks at its origin of distillation before being charcoal filtered to give it a clean, round finish.

Tasting Notes:

Slight vanilla, clean, lite, dry, balanced, and round.

Trinidad and Tobago (Angostura Distillery)
Nicaragua (distillery cannot be disclosed)

2 oz Campesino Aged XIV
¼ oz Honey Syrup (1:1)
1 Dash Chocolate Bitters
1 Dash Orange Bitters
¼ oz Royal Cup Cold Brew Coffee

Stir Campesino Aged XIV, honey syrup, cold brew, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Strain into a rocks glass with one large ice cube. Garnish with a flared orange peel.

2 oz Campesino Aged XIV

You are an adventurous, classic, soul who enjoys the night time, and because of this you need no fuss with cocktails. All you need to do is grab ahold of that bottle, flip the top, and consume at a moderate pace until empty.

2 oz Campesino Aged XIV
3 Fresh Coconut Water
2 Lime Wedges

Combine all ingredients into a tall glass with ice. Squeeze both limes and garnish with sliced lime.

1 oz Honey Syrup
¾ oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Combine all ingredients into a shaker-tin with ice. Shake for 30 seconds. Strain into chilled rocks glass with one large ice cube. Garnish with lemon peel.

2 oz Campesino Silver X
¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz Ginger Sage Syrup
4 Sliced Cucumber

Combine all ingredients into a shaker-tin with ice. Shake for 15-20 seconds. Double strain into chilled rocks glass filled with ice. Garnish with a cucumber.

Combine all ingredients into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lime.

2 oz Campesino Silver X
1 oz Orange Juice
¾ oz Pineapple Juice
¾ oz Cranberry Juice
1 Dash of Angustrura Bitters
1 Splash of Champagne

Combine Campesino Silver X, orange juice, pineapple juice, cranberry juice, and bitters into shaker-tin with ice. Shake for 15-30 seconds. Pour into tall glass with ice. Top with champagne and garnish with pineapple.

¾ oz Fresh Lime Juice
½ oz Simple Syrup (1:1)
Ginger Beer

Combine all ingredients in a tall glass filled with ice, top with ginger beer. Garnish with a lime. No straw.
